Is there a charge to download That Style Chick App?

No, there is no charge to download the App, it is free to download.

Is That Style Chick App available for iOS & Android?

Yes, the App is available for iOS users via the Apple App Store and Android users via the Google Play Store.

Can anyone download That Style Chick App?

That Style Chick App is available for download via the Australian Apple App Store and Australian Google Play Store. Anyone with an Australian Apple/Google account can download the App. At this stage That Style Chick App is not available for download outside Australia as the services within the App relate to the Australian retail landscape.

I am having problems installing That Style Chick App

To install That Style Chick app iOS users must have an Apple App Store account and Android users must have a Google Play Account. Once you have an Apple/Google account you can search for and download That Style Chick App for free.

In order to install the That Style Chick App you will need to be connected to the Internet. You will also need to have enough free storage space on your mobile device.

Account & Password

Do I need to create an account to use That Style Chick App?

Yes, an account is required in order to use That Style Chick App.

How do I create an account?

When you install and open That Style Chick App on your mobile device for the first time you will be prompted to create an account. An account is required in order to use That Style Chick App. You can create an account by entering your personal details and choosing a password, or by linking to your Facebook or Google profile.

Can I use That Style Chick App on multiple devices?

Yes, you can install That Style Chick App on multiple devices, either Android and/or iOS. Please ensure that you use the same account across all of your devices.

How do I update/change my personal details?

You can make changes to your personal details, including your email subscription preferences, at any time under My Profile in App Settings (accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen).

Forgotten password/Password reset

You can reset your password at any time by clicking ‘forgot password’ on the login screen of That Style Chick App. If you are logged in and would like to change your password, please go to App Settings (accessible via green cog in the header of the home screen) and first log out. This will take you back to the login screen, where you can click  ‘I have an account’ and then ‘forgot password’.

How do I unsubscribe from That Style Chick emails?

You can unsubscribe from That Style Chick emails at any time by visiting My Profile in App Settings (accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen), or by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of That Style Chick emails.

Payments & Pricing

Are there any hidden fees & charges?

There are no hidden fees or charges. We do not charge to download That Style Chick App, create an account, complete the Style Consult or access your Style Guide. For Style Help (Style Advice and Style Finder) requests, you pay per request, at the time of the request and we have complete transparency of the pricing, which can be found on the Style Help section of the App and in the Payments & Pricing section of the FAQs (in App Settings, accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen).

How much are the Services within That Style Chick App?

Services pricing is as follows:

Download the App– Free

Complete Style Consult– Free

Access Style Guide– Free (subject to completion of mandatory questions within Style Consult)

Request Style Help– Pay per request with pricing as follows:

Style Finder– AUD$24.99 per individual request, or in the case of a multi-item request,  AUS$22.99 per item (must all be submitted as part of the one multi-item request).

Style Advice– AUD$9.99 per request.

How is payment for That Style Chick App Services made?

Payment for Style Help services is made from within the App at the time of the request. When you submit your first Style Help request you will be asked to enter your payment details and the payment will be securely processed via Stripe. Your card details will be securely stored within the Stripe payment platform for future Style Help requests. Your card data will not be stored within That Style Chick App or by Aprelo Pty Ltd. You can delete or update your card data that is held by Stripe at any time, via the Payment Options section in App Settings (accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen).

How do I update my payment details?

You can delete or update your card data at any time via the Payment Options section in App Settings (accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen.

Using the App

Who can use That Style Chick App?

That Style Chick App will be available for download in Australian App stores by anyone who has an iOS or Android mobile device. Style and shopping advice will be specific to the Australian and online retail landscape (both Australian and international designers). Initially the App will focus on women’s style and shopping advice. In the future That Style Chick may also launch for Styling Services for men. You need to be over 18 years to purchase the Services within the App. Users of the free Services must be 18 years of age or older, or over the age of 13 with a parent’s permission.

Is there a minimum contract period?

There is no minimum contract period for That Style Chick App. You can use the Style Guide and purchase Style Help services on an as needs basis so long as you have completed the mandatory questions of the Style Consult. You can discontinue use of That Style Chick App at any time without penalty should you choose to.

What Services are available in That Style Chick App?

Style Consult – Free Service – Once you have downloaded the App and created an account, you will be prompted to complete the free in-App Style Consult. Completion of the Style Consult mandatory questions is a prerequisite for accessing your personalised Style Guide and also for purchasing Style Help services. We require the information requested in the Style Consult mandatory questions in order to provide accurate and personalised style advice.

Style Guide – Free Service – This feature is available free to users who complete the mandatory fields of the in-App Style Consult. The Style Guide provides personalised style tips and advice relating to your body shape, signature style and colours. Once you unlock your Style Guide by completing the Style Consult mandatory questions you are able to view it whenever you are logged into That Style Chick App.

Style Help – Pay Per Request – These Services can be purchased as required, from within the App and will be delivered via the App and via email. Completion of the Style Consult mandatory questions is a prerequisite for accessing these Services. Style Help Services include:

Style Finder–By submitting a Style Finder request in the App you can request That Style Chick to hunt down 3-5 suggested wardrobe pieces, based on the credentials you provide. Submit multiple requests to build a whole outfit. That Style Chick responds within 1 business day of your request, via Style Help Results and email. Suggested items may be purchased by clicking on the links to retailer websites from the app, or by purchases made in-store.

Style Advice– By submitting a Style Advice request in the App, you can request That Style Chick to provide style advice pertaining to an individual wardrobe piece, or a whole outfit. That Style Chick will respond within 1 business day of your request, via Style Help Results and email. Use this feature to get advice on whether your outfit or piece suits your body shape, which shoes suit the outfit, whether the individual pieces are right together and many other questions.

Do I have to complete the Style Consult?

It is a requirement that you complete the mandatory questions of the Style Consult (marked with an Asterix ‘*’) in order to:

  • Unlock your Style Profile and free style tips within your Style Guide
  • Submit Style Help (Style Finder and Style Advice) requests.

The more complete your Style Consult responses are, the more accurate your Style Profile and Style Guide will be.

If I don’t have time to complete my Style Consult can I save what I have completed and update the rest later?

Yes absolutely! Each page of your Style Consult responses will automatically be saved and you can return at a later time to update and/or complete your responses. For example, if you don’t have a tape measure handy you can always add in your measurements later.

Please be aware that your Style Profile and free Style Tips will only be unlocked once you complete all of the mandatory questions in your Style Consult (marked with an Asterix ‘*’). Please also be aware that if you make updates to your Style Consult your Style Profile and associated Style Guide tips may change.

How do I unlock my free Style Profile and Style Guide?

In order to unlock your free content it is a requirement that you complete the mandatory questions of the Style Consult (marked with an Asterix ‘*’). Once the mandatory questions are complete your Style Profile and detailed style tips will appear in your Style Guide (accessible via the Style Guide icon on the home screen).

My Style Profile doesn’t seem accurate

Your Style Profile will be as accurate as the information that you provide in your Style Consult. Although only the mandatory questions of the Style Consult are required in order to unlock your free Style Profile and Style Guide, it is recommended that you complete ALL Style Consult sections completely in order to get the most accurate Style Profile. In particular, your shoulder, waist and hip measurements and your style preferences are important for determining your body shape and signature style respectively.

You can update/complete your Style Consult anytime via the purple tape measure icon in the header of the home screen, or via the Style Consult section within App Settings (accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen). If you make changes to your Style Consult your Style Profile and style tips within your Style Guide may change.

How do I get Style Advice?

To get Style Advice from an expert stylist you must:

  • Install That Style Chick App
  • Create an account
  • Complete the mandatory questions of the Style Consult (marked with an Asterix ‘*’) – this is to help That Style Chick understand your body shape, colouring and fashion tastes so that she can give advice specific to you
  • Visit the Style Advice page accessible by clicking Get Style Advice on the home screen, or via the Style Help icon in the home screen footer
  • Click on Get Advice button and follow the prompts to complete your request.

You will receive a notification once your request has been completed (within 1 business day or less). You will be able to access your Style Advice in the Results section of Style Help.

You can also get Style Advice on items that That Style Chick recommends in Style Finder, by clicking on the Get Style Advice button that appears under the item.

How do I get help finding a wardrobe piece?

To get help from an expert stylist to hunt down a particular wardrobe piece that’s right for you, you must:

  • Install That Style Chick App
  • Create an account
  • Complete the mandatory questions of the Style Consult (marked with an Asterix ‘*’)
  • Visit the Style Finder page accessible by clicking Search Style Finder on the home screen, or via the Style Help icon in the home screen footer
  • Click on Submit Request button and follow the prompts to complete your request (you can specify exactly what you want, or allow That Style Chick to choose pieces for you).

You will receive a notification once your request has been completed (within 1 business day or less). You will be able to access your Style Finder recommendations in the Results section of Style Help.

How do I get help finding a whole outfit?

To get help from an expert stylist to find a whole outfit that’s right for you and your occasion, you must:

  • Install That Style Chick App
  • Create an account
  • Complete the mandatory questions of the Style Consult (marked with an Asterix ‘*’)
  • Visit the Style Finder page accessible by clicking Search Style Finder on the home screen, or via the Style Help icon in the home screen footer
  • Click on Submit Request button and follow the prompts – Start with the primary outfit piece (for example if you have a special event, decide whether you would like to wear a dress/pants/jumpsuit and start with that piece). Follow the prompts to complete the initial item request (you can specify exactly what you want, or allow That Style Chick to choose pieces for you).
  • Once you have provided all the information about your primary piece you will reach a summary page – you can either submit your request for the initial piece and await the results before requesting additional items to complete your outfit OR you can click Additional Request to add other pieces such as jacket, shoes, handbag, jewellery etc as part of a multi-item request (discount applies for submitting multi-item request). If you know exactly what pieces you want a multi-item request can work well. If you’re unsure of what you want your outfit to be it might be most beneficial to review the recommendations for your primary piece, choose an option or two that you like best and at that point submit a new request to complete your outfit with items that match your selected primary piece.

You will receive a notification once your request has been completed (within 1 business day or less). You will be able to access your Style Finder recommendations in the Results section of Style Help.

Why don’t I get notified when my Style Help requests are completed?

Please make sure that your Phone Settings are configured to allow notifications from That Style Chick App.

What if That Style Chick can’t find what I’m looking for, or I am not happy with her recommendations?

That Style Chick prides herself on providing high quality service. She makes recommendations and provides advice based on the information you provide in your Style Consult and in your Style Help request. Before you submit your Style Help request please make sure that your Style Consult is as accurate and complete as possible, as this will enable the most accurate Style Help results. Please also take the time to accurate complete your Style Help request, providing as much information as possible.

If you’re not happy with your Style Advice, there’s not a single recommended piece your happy with in your Style Finder results, or That Style Chick has completely missed the mark, please let us know via Feedback in App Settings (accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen). That Style Chick will take your feedback on board and revise her recommendations accordingly, until you are happy with the results. In the unlikely event that you’re still not happy with the results, you can request a refund for that particular Style Help request via Feedback in App Settings.

Occasionally That Style Chick may not be able to find the items that meet your brief, as they are simply unavailable in any stores at that particular time. In this instance she will notify you and offer you a refund for that particular Style Help request.

Is the style advice from a real stylist or from computer algorithms?

The Style Consult and style tips provided in your Style Guide have been expertly crafted by professionally trained, highly experienced real human stylist Gabrielle Aitken Gibson.

The Style Help requests are also serviced by professionally trained, highly experienced real human stylists including Gabrielle Aitken Gibson and her team. Their job is made more efficient by leveraging smart technology to find the exact pieces that you’re looking for. That Style Chick does not provide recommendations based on soulless algorithms.  Every recommendation is personally curated specifically for you.

Does That Style Chick only recommend brands/pieces that she gets commission for?

No! That Style Chick does not receive retailer commissions for Style Help recommendations. She recommends the pieces that best suit the needs of her clients.

How do I purchase the pieces recommended in Style Finder?

When you receive Style Finder recommendations you will be able to either purchase online or instore.

For online purchases, click through to the individual pieces in-app to find out more about them. From here you will be able to follow the link to the specific retailer’s website to view the product online and/or make an online purchase. On some occasions That Style Chick offers retailer-specific discount codes – be sure to copy the code in the App before clicking out to the retailer website.

Alternatively, you can shop the item in store. The best way to do this is to click through to the particular item and add it to your Loved Items by clicking on the love heart icon. When you go in store you can use your Loved Items as a shopping list to help you find the item and/or access the relevant discount code to be applied in store.

How do I add/remove Loved Items?

Any pieces recommended in Style Finder can be added to Loved Items by clicking through to the individual piece in Style Help Results and clicking on the love heart icon. Once you do this, the item will remain in Loved Items unless you unclick the love heart icon to remove it (either in Loved Items or in Style Help Results).

How do I refer friends & do I get rewarded?

You will notice that there is a Refer a Friend function on the home screen and in App Settings (accessible via the green cog in the header of the home screen).

If you are getting value from That Style Chick App, or you have friends that you think would like the App, we would be super appreciative if you could please tell them about it by clicking on Refer a Friend. As a small business we really value word-of-mouth referrals to help get the word out about our App. Given that we’re in start-up mode and many of the services in the App are free, we are not rewarding for friend referrals at this stage, however we are keeping track of all the referrals that you make so that we can say thank you!
